Shedeur Sanders’s college career was compared with that of Baker Mayfield by ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky, and Robert Littal, BlackSportsOnline founder was having none of that. Orlovsky remarked that Sanders and Mayfield have two very similar college football careers, mainly in respect to the controversies and scandals surrounding the players.
Baker Mayfield played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders in 2013 and then for the Oklahoma Sooners from 2014 to 2017. While his stats were definitely sky-high, Mayfield was no stranger to controversy. During his time with the Sooners, Mayfield was criticized for making an obscene gesture towards Kansas players in one of his games. He also planted the Oklahoma flag at Ohio Stadium after winning a game against Ohio State.
“If you are comparing Baker Mayfield and Shedeur Sanders’ personalities in college. That lends me to believe you didn’t actually follow Baker’s college career. Shedeur looks like a choir boy in comparison to the shenanigans Baker was up to. Let’s be honest here. But what what I won’t allow is for any confident black man to be label with terms that don’t fit them because you are too lazy to do your job. Stay up black men don’t be afraid to be confident in your skills.” Robert Littal tweeted from his X account, criticizing Dan Orlovsky for comparing Sanders and Mayfield.

It is true that Shedeur Sanders has not managed to get himself involved in controversies as big as Mayfield’s. However, it is also true that the young quarterback has often been called out for his blighted arrogance towards his superiors. Shedeur Sanders last played for the Colorado Buffaloes and before that, played for the Jackson State Tigers.

Shedeur Sanders’ Private Workout With Tennessee Titans Cancelled
In other news, Shedeur Sanders’ private workout with the Tennessee Titans has been cancelled by the team. According to recent reports, the Titans have managed to gather all the information they need by watching Sanders’ game films during his time with the Colorado Buffaloes. And thus, the team decided not to go forward with the private workout for Sanders.

Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans did indeed host a private workout for Cam Ward, who last played for the Miami Hurricanes. This prompted rumors that Cam Ward might become the new starting quarterback for the Tennessee Titans.

As of now, several teams are interested in Shedeur Sanders, and his name will definitely be up there in the first round of the upcoming NFL draft. Both Sanders and Ward are expected to put up great performances in the 2025 NFL season.
