Shannon Sharpe, former NFL tight end, recently criticized Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson on an episode of ‘Nightcap’. Richardson, who has been struggling with injuries ever since his rookie season, is all set to make a comeback in the NFL in the upcoming football season. However, it is still up for debate as to whether the Colts will play him as starting quarterback with Daniel Jones in the picture.
In the 2024 NFL season, it was clear that Richardson was eyeing the starting quarterback spot. However, Joe Flacco was on the team’s roster as QB1. Currently, Flacco is no longer with the team and will be playing his very first season with the Cleveland Browns. With Flacco gone, Richardson is still hoping that the Colts make him starting quarterback, but Shannon Sharpe feels that the player has not brought out the right stats, which make him deserving of the role.
“They showed his numbers from the time he was a quarterback in high school, 9th grade, 10th, 11th and at Florida. He ain’t never been a marksman. He’s a 40-50% completion guy. His completion percentage is lower than Tebow’s. Tebow’s is 47%. He was at 48% last year. In today’s game, if you’re not at least 60%, you’re not good. It’s not like it was, I remember when like 55%-57% was good because of the way they play.” Shannon Sharpe spoke about Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday’s episode of ‘Nightcap’.
Shannon Sharpe’s words are definitely true about Anthony Richardson and his stats might be enough for the Indianapolis Colts to go with Daniel Jones as starting quarterback for the 2025 NFL season. The Colts will be soon opening their 2025 NFL campaign with a matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Shannon Sharpe Settles Lawsuit With OF Model For $50M
On another note, Shannon Sharpe seems to be done with lawsuits and court appearances and has silent settled his lawsuit with OnlyFans model Gabriella Zuniga for a whopping sum of $50M. Zuniga has accused Sharpe of rape and sexual assault before this. However, after Sharpe has paid the amount, Zuniga’s lawyers have changed up the statement that the relationship between the two was entirely consensual, although tumultuous.
After receiving the payout from Sharpe, Zuniga also sent shockwaves across the adult content industry with her announcement that she is leaving the OnlyFans platform. The 20-year-old adult content creator will be able to live off the $50M pretty comfortably for the rest of her life.
