Serena Williams, retired tennis legend, was recently interviewed by TIME magazine and mentioned how her daughter is a huge Taylor Swift fan. Apparently, Williams had a plan of asking Swift for an autograph for her daughter at the Super Bowl a couple of months back between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, Williams changed her mind once the Chiefs started losing the matchup against the Eagles. The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles with a final score of 40-22. Kansas City’s QB Patrick Mahomes certainly tried his best and scored three touchdowns for the team, completing 21 passes out of 32 attempts for 257 yards.
“I’m such a mom. I was ready to go in here myself and be like, ‘Taylor, come get this girl.’” Serena Williams said in her interview with TIME magazine about her plan of getting Taylor Swift’s autograph for her daughter.
“It’s hard when your team is losing. I totally get it.” Williams added.

Serena Williams is no stranger to defeats, with her career in tennis spanning from 1995 to 2022. After her retirement, Williams along with her husband Alexis Ohanian, has started to invest and nurture several sports businesses. She also showed the world that she is a major football fan, and even danced on stage in this year’s halftime show with Kendrick Lamar.
Taylor Swift was seen not only in the Super Bowl, but in many Kansas City Chiefs games after she started dating Travis Kelce who plays for the team. Swift and Kelce’s relationship was widely publicized during the 2024 NFL season, leading the couple to take time away from the spotlight after the Super Bowl.

Serena Williams Clarifies That Her Halftime Dance Was Not Aimed At Drake
During the NFL Halftime show, Serena Williams was shown dancing as Kendrick Lamar performed his viral song ‘Not Like Us’. The song is a very popular diss-track aimed at rapper Drake, with whom Lamar has been having a long time feud.

With Williams performing for the track, many social media users highlighted that it was probably her way of getting back at Drake, whom she dated briefly a long time back. However, in the same interview with TIME magazine, Serena Williams admitted that her performance certainly did not come with that intention. Williams also mentioned that she has never had any ‘negative feelings’ towards Drake at any point.
