The SEC is the best conference in college football and is home to the most talented teams in the county. The new AP Top 25 came out on Sunday, and Texas and Georgia were ranked one and two both from the SEC, showing how great the conference is.
The conference also has many great TV hosts and people, and one of the best radio and television hosts in the South almost lost his life on Friday.
SEC Host Almost Loses His Life
Peter Burns from the SEC network is one of the best college football minds in the game, and last Friday, he was hit with a scary situation.
Burns stated on his Monday morning show on the SEC Network that he was in Missouri last week and was eating dinner and ended up swallowing a large piece of steak and started choking.
A few people tried to come in to help save Burns’s life, and then a minute later, a nurse tried to help and still couldn’t get the steak out of his throat.
Burns stated he didn’t know he would live until a guy named Jack Foster came up to give it one more try, and it worked.
Here’s our segment this morning on how @MizzouFootball fan Jack Foster and 3 others helped saved my life this weekend.
Thankful for him and all of those who do CPR and safety training. https://t.co/4PERxiJ2pV pic.twitter.com/6kw3iRghUg

A great man saved the SEC Network host’s life, and it was truly an incredible story. Burns is amazing at what he does, and listening to him on the radio or TV is always a treat. It’s a good thing somebody was watching over him on Friday.
It was nice to hear Burns on his radio show on Monday morning. A near-death experience can change the way you look at life, and Burns stated that the lesson he learned in all of this is to take every moment in life and be positive, and you never know when a moment like that is going to happen.
Thank God Burns is okay and doing well, and everyone is looking forward to seeing him all over their TV this fall on the SEC Network.
