Seattle Seahawks Vs San Francisco 49ers On TNF: NFL Week 6 Preview
Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers will be the first game to kick off Week 6, and oh boy is this a pivotal game for both teams. The Seattle Seahawks started the season a red-hot 3-0 and were one of the few remaining unbeaten teams, but they’ve since cooled off to 3-2. The same could be said for the 49ers, they started off hot as well but have fallen 2-3 thus far. The keys for both teams are going to be how their quarterbacks avoid turnovers and each other’s defenses. This is a big game for both teams, and an opportunity to turn things around so let’s go over what needs to happen Thursday night for the San Francisco 49ers to get back on track, and what needs to happen Thursday night for the Seattle Seahawks to get back on track.
Seattle Seahawks Need To Get That Beginning Of The Season Spark Back
It’s no secret that the Seahawks aren’t looking too great right now and they’re missing a bunch of key pieces like Derick Hall and Uchenna Nwosu which doesn’t help either. They were incredibly sloppy in their loss to the New York Giants and only really good on offense the week prior. Sadly if the Seahawks don’t start turning it around and playing better like they were a couple of weeks into the season, it’s tough to envision this team beating anyone except the Carolina Panthers.
The good thing for the Seahawks right now is that the 49ers look every bit as dysfunctional so far. The Niner’s defensive playcalling is atrocious right now and is catching up to them. The absence of Christian McCaffery hasn’t helped them. So really if there were any chance at Seattle getting it together and turning it back around Thursday night is the time to do it. The Seahawks need to adapt early on offense, get something going on the ground, and eliminate the 49ers passing game if they want any chance at winning this game.
Despite the Seahawk’s two losses, they still remain leaders of their division, but beating the 49ers would mean putting up a two-game advantage. They must get it done now before heading into a tough second half of the season with many games on the road, so getting these wins now keeps postseason hopes alive for Seattle.
The San Francisco 49ers Also Needs To Get Things Turned Around Before It’s Too Late
Thursday night, San Francisco will be facing off against a Seattle offense that ranks seventh in the league, averaging 376.2 yards per game. The Seahawks are currently atop the NFC West with their 3-2 record. The 49ers need a huge win to move up the standings, the only question is, how do they do it?
Well despite everything, the 49ers are still the better team here the only concern with them is they’re incapable of hanging onto leading, blowing them when they have them. What they need to do is take advantage of the Seahawk’s major issues on defense right now and keep the offense looking how they usually do. The 49ers rank second in the NFL in yards per game but struggle in the red zone so taking advantage of opportunities will be huge for this 49ers team Thursday night.
