Jackson was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He’s spent the previous two seasons, where he’s started in 31 regular season games.
The Seahawks can use the spending to improve the roster for next season. The Seahawks made a surprise playoff run after they traded Russell Wilson last offseason. The team needs a few pieces to be an NFC contender. According to Over The Cap, the Seahawks now have about $30 million in cap space ahead of next week’s free agency period.
