The Seattle Seahawks are in the middle of their second week of training camp. They will have open practices on Thursday, Friday, and their annual Football Fest on Saturday at Lumen Field, which is also open to the public. Once Week 2 finishes, the team will have three open practices remaining, including one in Week 3, which is held next Tuesday.
The Seahawks are not close to full health, with a standout offensive lineman among the banged-up players.
Seattle Seahawks’ standout OT is dealing with a hand injury

Charles Cross suffered a dislocated finger at some point during the summer. However, the injury has not prevented him from participating in the first week and a half of practice, a testament to his toughness. Cross is responsible for protecting Sam Darnold’s blindside, and the Seahawks cannot afford their best offensive lineman to miss time in 2025.
Seattle Seahawks’ OT underwent surgery

According to Ian Rapoport, Charles Cross underwent successful surgery to repair his dislocated finger in Los Angeles. As a result, the standout left tackle should be sidelined for a while and could miss a significant amount of camp and the preseason as he continues to recover from his injury. However, as Rapoport points out, Cross should be ready for the start of the regular season.

Who replaces him at LT?

Josh Jones is expected to take over as the starting left tackle during training camp, receiving first-team reps on Thursday with Charles Cross sidelined. He has plenty of experience at left tackle, starting 11 games and playing 789 snaps there over his first five seasons, including 22 reps with the Baltimore Ravens in 2024. Jones will compete against Michael Jerrell and Mason Richman for the swing tackle role.
