The Seattle Seahawks currently have two of the three starting cornerback positions locked in for the 2025 season, with one vacancy remaining. Tariq Woolen looks to start on the outside with Devon Witherspoon in the slot. Josh Jobe is the favorite for the CB2/outside corner job, but the Seahawks have expressed interest in adding a veteran option.

The Seahawks hosted former Pro Bowl cornerback Shaquill Griffin for a visit in April. He spent the 2024 season with the Minnesota Vikings, serving as the number three cornerback, starting three games and playing 50% of snaps. Griffin recorded 41 tackles, two interceptions, and six pass deflections, allowing a 54.4% completion percentage, 429 passing yards, two touchdowns, and a 75.8 passer rating.

He also visited with Pete Carroll, his former coach, who is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

According to Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports, the Seahawks have signed Shaquill Griffin to a contract, reuniting with his former team. The deal is for one year and is worth $3 million. As a result, Griffin will compete against Josh Jobe for the starting CB2/outside cornerback position.
