It seems that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is well-respected in the NFL. Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams had a hard-fought game against the Bills yesterday The Rams had a memorable 44-42 victory over Buffalo, but despite the loss, Allen had a fantastic game.
The Bills quarterback, who is the current favorite to be named the MVP after the regular season is over, finished the game with 22 completed passes out of 37 attempts, 342 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and three rushing touchdowns—without a single turnover.
In the postgame interview, McVay acknowledged the challenge Allen presented to his team, saying that he is an out-of-this-world talent.
“You see, Josh Allen is an alien. He’s a nightmare to defend,” said McVay. “I don’t think you can just sit back and just let him navigate the pocket. He can beat you from the pocket.”
McVay added, “He can beat you with his mind, he can beat you with his arm, he can beat you with his legs—that’s why he’s a legitimate MVP candidate. He’s one of the best players in this league.”

Yesterday’s game will likely go down as one of the best games this season, as both teams engaged in back-and-forth action the entire afternoon before the Rams ultimately sealed the game with one offensive onslaught.
While the Bills have already clinched the AFC East title, the Rams are still in a tight race against the Seattle Seahawks for the NFC West title, with one game separating them. The two teams still have a head-to-head scheduled for Week 18, with the Rams holding the tiebreaker advantage.
Should Josh Allen win the MVP award?
Josh Allen’s performances in previous years were overshadowed by Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, but it looks like 2024 could be the year that the Bills quarterback will be finally recognized as the MVP.
Allen currently has 3,033 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns, nine rushing touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also has an average passing completion of 64.1%. Aside from Allen, no other quarterbacks are playing at the same level this year, and no other positions have won the MVP award since 2014.
The Bills quarterback is more or less reigning at the top of the MVP race with -225 odds of bagging the trophy, with Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley coming at a rather far second. Allen was the second most-voted player for the honor four years ago, coming as a runner-up to Aaron Rodgers.
