The New York Giants are getting prepared to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. New York is 2-8 this season and Tampa Bay is 4-6. The Giants have one of the worst records in the NFL this season.
The New York Giants have been in the headlines all week long because they benched Daniel Jones on Monday in favor of Tommy DeVito. Jones most likely will not be on the active GameDay roster come Sunday afternoon when kickoff is 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
New York Giants Quarterback Daniel Jones Goes To Safety On Scout Team During Team Practice
On Wednesday during practice, the Giants had Tim Boyle taking more snaps than Jones. On Thursday, the Giants did something unexpected with the former Duke Blue Devils quarterback. At practice, they decided to put him at safety on the scout team.
This is a very interesting move because well it is just funny at this point. The Giants just need to send him home or just release him already if they are going to continue to embarrass him like this.

I ordered a humiliation ritual after what he did to the Vikings in the playoffs. Hope it was worth it.

If I’m Daniel Jones I’m leaving practice after they ask me to play safety, respectfully

It will be interesting to see what else the Giants decide to do with Jones before the end of the 2024 season. There is no question that they are done with him being the starting quarterback of this franchise. However, having him as the team scout at safety feels just wrong. Jones will be on a new team next season and it will be interesting to see if Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen will be able to draft their own quarterback.
