The USC Trojans have lost a quarterback to the transfer portal in a move that many fans saw coming from a mile away.
Quarterback Miller Moss sat and waited his turn for the Trojans, which he earned at the start of the 2024 season and held for much of the year. Moss and the Trojans hit a rough patch midway through the season, which eventually led to the benching of Moss in favor of Jayden Maiava who transferred in from the UNLV Rebels.
Moss was never able to fully earn the starting role back during the lost season, which made for a rather gloomy prediction moving forward. Moss has finally announced the news that many USC Trojans fans and college football fans in general expected as the quarterback revealed he would hit the transfer portal.
Moss finishes his four-year career with the USC Trojans with 3469-yards passing, 27 touchdowns, and ten interceptions while only taking 11 sacks during his tenure. The quarterback also finished with a completion percentage of 65.9% and a quarterback rating of 145.3 to go along with an average of 7.6-yards per completion.

With Moss set to leave the USC Trojans, many fans offered words of encouragement for the quarterback as the move was expected.
Trojans fans have been very welcoming towards the decision of Moss, particularly after the quarterback had given so much time to the program. College football fans also have made plenty of comments on the situation, with most offering similar words and some suggesting the Michigan Wolverines would be the ideal marriage for Moss.

It was all good after the win over LSU. Talked about how great he was, he was the next one up & now they’ve pushed him outta town. Life comes at you fast

Moss very well could find himself in the Big Ten Conference next season with a number of teams, including Michigan who has seemingly opened up the pocket-book this season with the spending that has gone on.
Moss will also likely receive offers from other quarterback-needy programs, but the biggest offer is bound to come from Ann Arbor. The quarterback is a California native as well and previously expressed an interest to stay close to home throughout his career. Needy schools such as Cal, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon State should also be programs that will at least take a look at the quarterback.
If he’s smart he’s a Michigan man
