Savion Williams, newly drafted wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, recently asked his social media followers and fans to help his mother who’s struggling with a medical emergency. Williams shared a GoFundMe link on his Instagram, encouraging people to assist his family during this difficult time.
Williams shared a number of photos, giving details about his mother, her medical problems, and the link to her GoFundMe page. The young wide receiver also went on to end the post on a positive note, captioning his faith in God’s deliverance.

Savion Williams was selected by the Green Bay Packers as the 87th pick in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft. Before entering the league, Williams played college football for the TCU Horned Frogs. In his senior year for TCU, Williams managed a total of 60 receptions for 611 yards, scoring six touchdowns for the team.
Williams seems to be fitting in very well with the rest of his teammates at the Green Bay Packers. A few days back, wide receiver Matthew Golden, spoke to reporters of his growing friendship with Williams and how he has gone fishing with him.

Savion Williams’ Packers To Clash With Lions In Week 1
Meanwhile, Savion Williams’ new team, the Green Bay Packers, will be clashing with the Detroit Lions in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL tournament. After meeting the Lions, the Packers will be playing against the Washington Commanders. Before their season opener, Green Bay will warm up with three preseason games, against the New York Jets, the Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks.

In the previous NFL season, the Green Bay Packers finished third in the NFC North after winning 11 games and losing six. The Packers managed to make it to the Wild Card round to take on the Philadelphia Eagles but lost miserably with a final score of 22-10. The Packers will be eager to improve their record in the upcoming NFL season after their offseason moves.

Apart from Savion Williams, Matthew Golden was another wide receiver that the Packers selected in the draft. Golden played for the Texas Longhorns, and was selected by Green Bay as the 23rd pick in the very first round. The team also brought in additional bulwarks for their defense including Barryn Sorrell from the Texas Longhorns and Warren Brinson for the Georgia Bulldogs.
