Sauce Gardner, New York Jets cornerback, was recently asked about his possible contract extension with the team at the Fanatics Fest, and his response was definitely optimistic. Gardner is currently in the final year of his contract with the Jets and is hoping to secure a bigger deal with his team. The Jets are yet to announce anything on this, but Gardner hopes that the contract extension comes soon.
X user, Omar Hegazy, asked Gardner about his situation at Fanatics Fest and shared a picture on his account. Gardner can be seen styling in an oversized hoodie and matching shorts. He also had a chunky diamond necklace with a “SAUCE” pendant around his neck.
“I asked @iamSauceGardner about the status of his new deal with the Jets
His answer: ‘Real soon 👀’” Omar Hegazy tweeted through his X account about New York Jets cornerback, Sauce Gardner.

Sauce Gardner has only played with the New York Jets in his NFL career, which kicked off in 2022. In the previous season alone, Gardner managed a total of 36 solo tackles with a single interception and will be eager to do better in the upcoming year.

Gardner’s Jets have been doing plenty of shuffling and reshuffling in this NFL offseason as they hope to crack a better record for the 2025 season. The biggest move that the Jets have made is getting rid of veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who played two seasons with them. Rodgers failed to make a solid impression in the Jets franchise and was released early in March this year.

Sauce Gardner Is Eager To Play For Team USA In Olympics
Sometime back, the New York Jets shared a video clip of Sauce Gardner in which the cornerback voices his opinion that he is hoping to play for Team USA in flag football. The NFL recently announced that they will be allowing league players to take part in flag football in the upcoming Olympics.

Apart from Sauce Gardner, several other NFL stars have announced their willingness to play for the country in flag football, including retired legend Tom Brady. When Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was asked about the same, his response definitely did not please many fans. Mahomes said that he would probably leave flag football to the current team members, insinuating that he is not interested in doing so. For this comment, Mahomes was derided by fans on social media, with some going on to question his patriotism to the USA.
