Saquon Barkley, while impressing fans around the world with his incredible performances, seems not to have done much for Jim Ayello, a fantasy football analyst. Ayello recently spoke out on Barkley’s stats and how he expects the numbers to drop in the upcoming football season.
Barkley has definitely been enjoying his week after it was announced that the running back has made it to the cover of Madden 26. Barkley’s achievement has been celebrated by Eagles fans everywhere with ‘Geno’s Steaks’ in Philadelphia even renaming themselves to Steakquon’s for the week.
“Barkley carried the ball more times this year (436, including the playoffs) than any running back this century, with one exception: 2014 DeMarco Murray, who matched Barkley at 436. That name — and that workload — should scare the hell out of you. Perhaps Saquon will prove to be even more resilient and deliver in 2025. He could defy all of the odds, but knowing what we know about his predecessors, there’s no other way to look at this: He’s a terrible bet to deliver RB1 production this season.” Jim Ayello spoke about Saquon Barkley.
Saquon Barkley has been with the Philadelphia Eagles since 2024 and won one Super Bowl ring with the team. Before playing with the Eagles, Barkley started his career with the New York Giants after being selected as the second pick in the very first round of the 2018 NFL draft. Prior to entering the league, the running back played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Saquon Barkley Hints At Sudden Retirement News
On another note, Saquon Barkley may retire from the NFL all of a sudden, according to his recent interview. The running back admitted that he might suddenly wake up and decide to retire from the league one day. He also mentioned that the announcement may come at any time and may even be in the next NFL season.

Barkley is currently getting ready to play one more season with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are set to open their NFL schedule with a game against the Dallas Cowboys in the forthcoming football season. Before meeting the Cowboys, Philadelphia will warm up with three preseason games against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets. The Eagles will be eager to win another Super Bowl trophy in a row after destroying the Kansas City Chiefs in February’s matchup.
