Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles running back, recently reacted to comedian Kevin Hart naming an eagle after him. Barkley was asked this during his appearance on ‘Hot Ones’ by host Sean Evans. Apparently, Kevin Hart has purchased two eagles and named one after Barkley, and the other one after quarterback Jalen Hurts.
This was clearly news to Barkley who hoped that the news was just PR and that Hart used that money on something more useful than eagles. However, if the news was indeed true, the 28-year-old running back hoped to meet Saquon the eagle and take a picture with him.
“I hope that’s just PR, and he’s doing a really good job. I hope he did not spend that money on eagles…..If that’s real I think I’ve got to go meet them. I think I’ve got to go spend some time with them. Yeah, gotta go take a picture with Saquon, for sure,” Saquon Barkley said on ‘Hot Ones’ to host Sean Evans.

Saquon Barkley has been playing for the Philadelphia Eagles since 2024 and has been a crucial part of the team’s success in his very first season. Before the Eagles, Barkley played for the New York Giants from 2018 to 2023. In the 2024 NFL season, Barkley not only won the Super Bowl with the Eagles, but was also named NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

Saquon Barkley Chooses Barry Sanders As Favorite Running Back
In the same episode of ‘Hot Ones’, Saquon Barkley was also quizzed about his favorite running back of all time. Barkley mentioned Barry Sanders as his favorite running back and also that he wore his jersey number. The Philadelphia Eagles running back also mentioned that he was called ‘Little Barry’ by his friends. Barry Sanders, now retired, played as a running back for the Detroit Lions for ten seasons and had a 4.37 second 40-yard dash time.

Saquon Barkley inched his way toward the NFL with quite an impressive journey. Barkley played high school football for Whitehall in Pennsylvania and then went on to play college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions from 2015 to 2017. He was selected by the New York Giants as the second pick in the very first round of the 2018 NFL draft.

In the 2024 NFL season, Saquon Barkley managed a total of 345 carries for 2,005 yards, scoring 13 touchdowns for the Philadelphia Eagles. In the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs, Barkley managed a total of 25 carries for 57 yards, but failed to score.
