“Saquon Barkley Never Got Going”: NFL Analysts Concerned About Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley’s Production This Season

The Philadelphia Eagles blew a 21-0 lead on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys and lost 24-21. Philadelphia has not been the same team offensively this season.

It was a surprise that the Eagles blew the game against the Cowboys. Running back Saquon Barkley is not the same player as he was a season ago. They have an 8-3 record and lead the NFC East division for now despite all of it. Philadelphia is currently the number two seed in the NFC, and they face the Chicago Bears (8-3 record) on Black Friday as well. Are there concerns for this team moving forward?

Chad Graff and Josh Kendall of the Athletic have the Eagles ranked third in their power rankings entering Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season. With that being said, they have potential concerns about Barkley and this offense moving forward. They said,

“The Eagles blew a 21-0 lead to the Cowboys, Saquon Barkley never got going on the ground and the vibes in Philly look miserable. And yet, they’re 8-3 and remain one of the most talented rosters in the league.”

This season, Barkley has rushed for 684 yards on 185 carries and four touchdowns, along with averaging 5.7 yards per carry. He has also caught 35 passes for 259 yards receiving and two touchdowns, along with averaging 7.4 yards per carry. There is no doubt that these stats prove that Barkley is not the same player he was a season ago.

Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has also not been the same this season as well. Barkley needs to get going this week against a shaky Bears defense. If he doesn’t, there are bigger problems ahead for Philadelphia moving forward.
