Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley recently got honest about his regret in not diving into investing in cryptocurrency, as he recalled how he had the chance to invest in it, but chose not to.

In a recent interview with Boardroom, NFL star Saquon Barkley opened up about his could-have-beens in terms of investing in cryptocurrency, particularly in Bitcoin. As he revealed, he had the chance to be invited by one of the most successful Bitcoin traders in the industry, but ultimately passed on the opportunity.
“Funny story, Michael Saylor told me a couple of years ago that I was like, how much do you think? And he was like, throw it all in. And I was like, I don’t know if I should do that.”
“Probably should’ve listened to him,” he added with a laugh. “He’s doing pretty well right now.”

Even with regret, the football star still issued one warning to the people who are simply thinking about getting into crypto. Caution, caution, not reckless behavior. Barkley mentioned the importance of making an informed financial decision, especially in the world of cryptocurrency.
Saquon Barkley Gets Honest About Potential 2,000-Yard Repeat
Eagles backup Saquon Barkley had a record-breaking 2024 season, rushing for over 2,000 yards in 16 games, including one playoff game. Barkley rushed for an astounding 499 in the postseason; he finished with 2,004 rushing yards in the regular season, for a fixed-schedule season and playoff total of 2,504 yards rushing, another record.

In a recent interview, the Eagles star recognized the pressure in following up with the excellent status he delivered last season.
“It’s hard to do it in general,” Barkley said Wednesday from training camp. “You know, there’s only nine of us that’s ever done it. I got to sign a helmet the other day, it was every 2,000-yard rusher.”
“It’s so hard to do it twice because it’s hard to do it the first time. It’s a crazy thing that I’m even mentioned with those guys. For me, 2,000 yards is not the goal. It’s winning Super Bowls and going out there and performing at a high level.”

Historically, there has been no player in the National Football League to rush for 2,000 yards more than once, or to have rushed for 2,000 yards in consecutive seasons. Barkley understands what a toll on his body 2,000-yard type of season takes on running backs, and is aware of the task at hand.
While he’s determined to defy the odds, Saquon Barkley also recognizes that his legacy will be shaped more by team success than individual records.
