Saquon Barkley, running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, made history at the start of the week after it was revealed that he made the cover of EA’s Madden NFL 26. Barkley is also the newest player who has a 99-rating in the game series. Barkley was definitely delighted by the news and had a custom diamond chain made with a 99 pendant for the occasion.
Barkley’s achievement was not only celebrated by himself and his team, but also Geno’s Steaks restaurant in Philadelphia. The restaurant renamed itself to ‘Steakquon’s’ for the week to celebrate Barkley’s achievement.
“It means the world to me. I think if you ask any kid out there, if they were able to be on the Madden cover, I think they all would be stoked and say, ‘Yes.’ So for that to come to life is truly amazing. There’s so many legendary players who have been a part of this, and I’m happy to attach my name to those guys too,” Saquon Barkley said about his latest achievement for EA’s Madden.
