The San Francisco 49ers are getting ready for their first game of the 2024 regular season in a week. An unfortunate update has developed as one of the team’s wide receivers has been reportedly shot in a robbery incident in Union Square.

49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot in San Francisco on Saturday in a reported robbery incident. A main San Francisco news outlet reported this tragedy following the incident, and details are still emerging.

The rookie wide receiver was drafted by the 49ers in the first round of this year’s draft from the Florida Gators. He amounted to 159 receptions, 2420 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns in college, making him on of Florida’s top playmakers on offense.
