The San Francisco 49ers suffered yet another brutal loss in week 3, after a ferocious comeback by the Los Angeles Rams in a 27-24 loss. Neither team is playing with a full deck of cards, as both teams are absolutely demolished with injuries. The 49ers avoided a huge loss with Trent Williams, but the 49ers are going in the wrong direction.
San Francisco 49ers Avoid Major Loss With Trent Williams
Their best player Williams missed part of the game after limping off the field. While he was able to return he seemed a bit slow to say the least. His injury was a fundamental part of the Rams storming back to win that game.
While a week of rest may help him a bit, the 49ers are in danger now with almost all their best players on offense injured outside of quarterback Brock Purdy.

Trent was able to return to the game after heading to the locker room for a bit, but the team’s offense stalled after he left the game, and even when he returned.
The 49ers have been without their other best offensive player Christian McCaffrey for the entire season so far, and they lossed Deebo Samuel last week. Additionally, George Kittle is also injured and may be coming back next week. Cornerback Charvarius Ward is also injured on the defensive side of the ball.
The injuries are piling up for a team that has one of the best offenses in the NFL when they are fully healthy, but they are from that. Brandon Aiyuk has also not stepped up whatsoever after signing a monster contract in the offseason.
The team is hurting right now, but thankfully after this week 3 loss they will have an easier matchup this week against the New England Patriots before back-to-back divisional rival games. If the team is not able to get some of their players back in time, they may not be able to complete in their incredibly difficult division.
