If you could describe the San Francisco 49ers’ off-season with one word, it may be “controversial.” From injuries to contract disputes to trade demands, the 49ers are having a hard time keeping their roster intact from the 2023 NFC Champions team.
That controversy only continued this week when one player found out his wife is dealing with some vice president drama.
San Francisco 49ers Starter Sees His Wife Get Into Dispute Regarding Kamala Harris
Early Thursday morning, Fox News reported that Kristin Juszczyk, wife of 49ers full back Kyle Juszczyk, turned down a jacket request from Vice President Kamala Harris just before the Super Bowl. Juszczyk saw the Fox News headline within hours and discredited it:
Fox News posted a story early Thursday morning with a headline that said Juszczyk “shut down” a request for a jacket from Vice President Kamala Harris just before the Super Bowl. Within seven hours, Juszczyk had seen the story and decried Fox News for the headline.
“This is a completely loaded headline…” Juszczyk posted on her Instagram story. “If you read the article I say that I had no help last year so I couldn’t fulfill any last minute request!”
Juszczyk posted three screenshots of the Fox News story, blasting the outlet again while telling her followers, “Please don’t just read headlines.”
“It’s hilarious how news outlets create a completely misleading headline to push their own agenda,” Juszczyk wrote on her final story post, capping off her comments with two exploding head emojis.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Juszcyzk detailed how she received the request from Harris, a well-known 49ers fan who is now the presumptive Democratic nominee for the presidency. (Juszczyk is married to San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk.) While Juszczyk had to say no, her reasoning was not political.
I am not going to say that a full back’s wife is going to dictate how the 49ers season goes, however, it is just another off the field story that continues to pile up for San Francisco.
The 2024 off-season can’t get over fast enough for the 49ers. The quicker they get back to football (with as much of their 2023 roster as possible) the better for everyone involved.
