The San Francisco 49ers have had a brutal start to their season in regards to injuries, and that has just gotten a whole lot worse leaving their fans, and fantasy football fans in absolute shock. Christian McCaffrey is the best running back in the league and the best player for the 49ers, but now he may be missing more than half the year at minimum.
Christian McCaffrey Is Out At Least 2 More Months
Fans are in absolute disbelief by the announcement that came on Thursday from multiple insiders including Michael Fabiano. Rumors are swirling that the star running back, and the majority No. 1 overall pick in fantasy football leagues, is going to be out for a very long time:

This has left fans stunned as everyone expected the star 49ers back to be in the starting lineup in week 1, and now it seems like he is going to miss a prolonged period this season. The 49ers will be fine at that position with their play from Jordan Mason but are also injured across the board at the moment.
Add their injuries to stars like CMC and Deebo Samuel with their 1-2 start, they are already in a tough position this season. CMC is also what makes their offense hum, and lets everyone else play better with the focus that he demands. As it now stands the running back is rumored to be missing the first 10 games of the season if not more!
This has left fans and fantasy football managers in disbelief, as they once expected their back to be the starter since the season opened and now may not see him till the latter half of the year. It is incredibly strange that McCaffery was dealing with something this serious, and that it was withheld from the entire NFL world, as he was the majority No. 1 overall pick in leagues.

We will have to wait for an official report, but it appears that CMC is not coming back any time soon.
