The New Orleans Saints once started the 2024 campaign 2-0 with dominant wins over the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys. May thought they might have what it takes to compete for a playoff spot in the NFC.
Fast forward nearly a whole season and New Orleans finds themselves 5-9 and with more questions than answers. Those questions only grew today when another season ending announcement was made.

According to Ian Rapoport:
Sources: Saints QB Derek Carr underwent further examination recently and he’s at least a few weeks away from being able to withstand contact. With 3 weeks remaining, a return this season is described as very unlikely.
Carr has been out with a left hand fractured in two places.
