For the Miami Dolphins, time can be a flat circle.
The Dolphins fanbase is calling for the team to reach out to a former quarterback they took in the first round to save the season after Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion on Thursday night.
Tua’s concussion is concerning
The concussion is Tua’s third in as many seasons. The brain injury came two games after he signed a four-year contract extension worth $212.4 million, with $167.1 million guaranteed. He could be looking to take the guaranteed money after Thursday night.
Regardless if Tua returns this season or next season, he’ll miss some time as he recovers. The Dolphins aren’t going to win many games with Skylar Thompson under center. (The Dolphins didn’t look good with Tua under center before the injury. Tua went 17/25 passing for 145 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions, including a pick 6.)

One free agent quarterback that was getting a lot of attention on social media Thursday night is Ryan Tannehill. The Dolphins selected Tannehill With the No. 8 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Tannehill didn’t have the stint in Miami that most fans wanted at the time, many considered him to be a bust.
However, he resurrected his career in 2019 with the Tennessee Titans, when he won NFL Comeback Player of the Year. He led the Titans to three postseasons in Tennessee.
