“Ryan Day Meltdown” – Ohio State Football Fans Dumbfounded by Poor Performance in Narrow 21-17 Win Against Nebraska

Ohio State football is on the fast track to play the Penn State Nittany Lions in a top-five clash next weekend at University Park. However, it wasn’t a linear path for the OSU Buckeyes, as they had to battle against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday despite being a 26-point favorite. Midway through the fourth quarter, Ohio State trailed before quarterback Will Howard found running back Quinshon Judkins for a go-ahead nine-yard touchdown strike. Nebraska would have two more opportunities to tie or take the lead but came up empty in an eventual 21-17 Buckeyes win.

Despite the victory against a formidable conference foe, Ohio State football fans offered little congratulations to head coach Ryan Day. Following the win, Day moved to 44-0 against unranked teams.

No. 4 Ohio State Stages Late Comeback, Defeats Nebraska 21-17.

On Saturday, the Nebraska Cornhuskers put a scare into Ohio State football, holding the lead late in the fourth quarter before the Buckeyes stagged a comeback. In the final moments, defender Reese Arvell fell victim to a controversial targeting call, setting Nebraska up at midfield. Fortunately for the Buckeyes, poor play-calling on behalf of Nebraska concluded with an interception by quarterback Dylan Raiola.

After a bye week and a loss, Ohio State football fans were unhappy with Saturday’s result, albeit a win. Many dropped the blame on head coach Ryan Day’s feet, bashing him for the lack of fire the team played with for the majority of the game. Next Saturday, they will visit a top-five-ranked Penn State squad. Day is notably 2-6 against top-five opponents and 7-8 against teams within the top ten:
