Former New York Giants safety Ryan Clark had some words to say to Mike Florio for his reporting. Florio, who is a writer for NBC Sports, has covered the NFL for years. He’s been a part of Pro Football Talk and has recently been involved with Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson.
Clark is an active co-host for “The Pivot” podcast. Along with Clark is his colleague, Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor. It turns out that Florio published an article against “The Pivot’s” editorial decision after their interview with Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson.
Florio called out the team for now serving the audience. He believes “The Pivot” suppresses newsworthy content. Ryan Clark was unhappy as he lashed out at Florio for his bold take.
“Well Mike. It wasn’t a pre-show meeting. Both Channing & Fred were on the same flight delayed from Miami. I was already in NY. So I was there first. As for serving the viewers we will not do that at the expense of people who volunteer to give us their time,” Clark posted on X.
“We have had various reasons for edits, & exemptions. From contractual agreements, second thoughts, or just not liking how it felt. Moving slimy in the name of clicks is not worth the integrity of our show. Jordon was not contacted nor involved in any conversation about the timing in which what we documented could be released. That conversation took place between Bill & I,” Clarke wrote.

Clark talked about the NIL deals and how things changed over time. He also believes that such deals could have both positive and negative effects.
“We’re sitting down, and we’re having the NIL meeting, and you know he’s told that his baseline is going to be more money than I made my rookie year in the NFL. It’s crazy, right, and so him, because he never had to make a decision based on money, it was like this cool deal that ‘dang, pop like I don’t have to call you for stuff now,’ you know?” Ryan Clark said.

Clark’s salary with the Giants was $262,500 in his rookie year, but his son has bagged $2.98 million with the New York Jets. It’s a drastic difference in the payout, but of course, it took a generation to get to that amount.
