Russell Wilson, New York Giants quarterback, seems to have another hidden talent within himself as an engagement planner as revealed by an Instagram story. Wilson recently shared on his Instagram that he helped plan Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Donovan Mitchell’s surprise proposal to singer Coco Jones.
Mitchell and Jones started dating about a year ago after meeting each other at a party. However, the couple has managed to keep most of their dating details pretty private with themselves and only recently shared through Instagram that Mitchell got on his knee and popped the question.
“Thanks for allowing us to plan this with you, Spida,” Russell Wilson captioned his Instagram story, calling Mitchell by his nickname and also going on to tag the West2East Luxury event management company.
“@ciara & 1 are So Happy for you two Love Birds!” Wilson added in the Instagram post.
Apart from planning the romantic proposal between Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones, Russell Wilson will also be using his time to gear up for his very first season with the New York Giants. Wilson is currently on a one-year deal with the team and will be starting with them for the majority of the weeks.
The New York Giants will certainly hope that their next NFL season goes better than their previous one with Wilson by their side. The team will be kicking off their 2025 NFL campaign with a matchup against the Washington Commanders in Week 1.

In other news, Russell Wilson’s wife, Ciara, recently stopped by the ‘Today’ show, where she was asked about her recent relocation to New York City with her family. Ciara and her kids have moved to NYC for Wilson’s year with the Giants and admitted that the relocation came pretty easily to her since it was in her “genes”.
“You know, I mean, it’s like in my genes, you know, it’s in my DNA, you know, it’s what I do. No, but New York is awesome. It’s so much culture, so much fun, so much diversity.” Singer-songwriter Ciara said in her recent appearance on the ‘Today’ show.
Wilson and Ciara have four children, the eldest of whom is Future Zahir, whom the singer had with rapper Future. The youngest of their kids was born in late 2023, with the couple even hinting that there might soon be a baby no. 5 in their house soon.
