The New York Giants finished with a 3-14 record during the 2024 NFL season and the Giants had the worst quarterback room in the NFL. During the offseason, New York decided to revamp the quarterback room for the 2025 season.

The Giants signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency. New York also drafted quarterback Jaxson Dart with the 25th overall pick from the Ole Miss Rebels in the 2025 NFL Draft. They also for now have kept Tommy DeVito on the roster. With this room, there is no doubt that the Giants should be able to score more points in 2025.
Russell Wilson Performing In 2025 Is the Best-Case Scenario For the New York Giants

Wilson is going to be the starting quarterback for the Giants in 2025. Winston will most likely be the backup quarterback for this team and Dart will be the third-string quarterback. However, Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports listed one best case scenario and one worst case scenario for each NFL team. Benjamin said the best-case scenario for New York in 2025 is as follows,
“Russell Wilson has just enough juice to give Brian Daboll the play-action ball-controller he needed for a 2022 playoff bid, but Jaxson Dart develops behind the scenes to give New York true long-term quarterback hope.”
Wilson being productive for the Giants in 2025 will be the best-case scenario for this football team. It means that they are winning games, and it also means that Winston is staying on the bench. The most important thing in all of this is that Dart gets to develop behind the scenes. New York probably doesn’t want him to start at all in 2025.
Wilson is 36 years old. During the 2024 NFL season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also rushed for 155 yards on 43 carries and two touchdowns, along with averaging 3.6 yards per carry.
New York will have a difficult schedule for the 2025 season. The Giants have to show signs of improvement. New York should be able to score more points in 2025. There is a chance that Malik Nabers could be one of the top five wide receivers by the end of the 2025 season if Wilson and Nabers can connect early and often.
