Ohio State running back Evan Pryor’s knee injury is very severe. The sophomore is lost for the season with the sever injury. The running back suffered a season ending knee injury last Monday. Pryor finished last season with 98 yards and a touchdown in his true freshman year. He was going to be the backup to Treyveyon Henderson and Milan Williams this year. Obviously, this isn’t his first year in the program so Pryor was hoping to make big strides and have a more productive year this year.
Pryor’s injury will leave Ohio State with only three healthy running backs for the season. Those backs include: Henderson, Williams, and a true freshman Dallas Hayden. Pryor was looking much better than last year which makes the injury that much more disappointing. This means the other running backs will step up and take more carries. The incoming freshman running back will also have to take on more carries and possibly play in games.
This season is going to be another big year for the Buckeyes. They will be looking to avenge their loss last year to Michigan and reach the Big Ten championship game after failing to reach the game last year. Before they clash with Michigan, teams that stand in their way include: Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Iowa.
Other Players will Carry the Load!
Luckily, Ohio State has other more important players than Pryor that will make big impacts on the team this season. The players with the biggest impact are quarterback C.J. Stroud and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Smith-Njigba was named a preseason Biletnikoff Award finalist as the nation’s top receiver. Smith-Njigba is also a Heisman finalist as well as Stroud. Look for these Buckeyes to lead the team to victory this season. The Buckeyes are so loaded that running back Evan Pryor’s knee injury should not slow them down one bit.
