Robert Kraft sends a message to Bill Belichick
The New England Patriots missed the playoffs last season. Owner Robert Kraft recently sent a letter to season ticket holders letting them know the results of the 2022 season were not acceptable. He sent another message to six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Bill Belichick at the League Annual Meeting this week.

According to the Patriots website, Kraft praised Belichick’s football acumen but said the coach needed to show winning results on the field this season:
“But in the end, this is a business. You either execute and win or you don’t. That’s where we’re at. I think we’re in a transition phase…
I still believe in Bill,” said Kraft, adding, “I’d like him to break Don Shula’s record, but I’m not looking for any of our players to get great stats. We’re about winning and doing whatever we can to win. That’s what our focus is now. It’s very important to me that we make the playoffs. That’s what I hope happens next year”
The team is looking to add talent to the roster to make a run in the loaded AFC East. We’ll see if Belichick can turn the team around and win a playoff game for the first time without Tom Brady.
