Riley Nelson announced today that he is stepping down from working in the broadcasting booth with Greg Wrubell. After four years of working for the Cougars and replacing Marc Lyons in 2018, he will not be part of the team next season. BYU has not announced his replacement at this time.

Riley Nelson played quarterback for BYU from 2009-2012. He started for 3 years for the Cougars and played in 32 games winning 13 games in his time and accounting for 41 touchdowns between pashing and rushing. Nelson finished his time as a Cougar with 4032 yards on 324 completions and 35 touchdowns. He also rushed for 858 yards and six touchdowns.
Nelson then joined Greg Wrubell in the booth in 2019 where he has called the games from the booth in Lavell Edwards Stadium. Greg Wrubell then took to social media today after Nelson announced his stepping down and thanked Nelson for his time spent working along side him for the past four seasons.
