Rico Flores will join the nation’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class after announcing his commitment to Notre Dame. He chose the Fighting Irish over Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.
The four-star wide receiver visited the Notre Dame campus in early June, where the coaching staff went all in to gain Flores’ attention. He becomes the second receiver the Fighting Irish bring in, grabbing Braylon James back in April.
Where Does Rico Flores Rank?
Flores currently attends Folsom High School in Folsom, CA. In his junior year, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound WR caught 81 passes for 1157 yards and 11 touchdowns. On defense, he complied 18 total tackles and one interception. He added a 97-yard kickoff return TD to his season’s catalog.
ESPN places Flores at No. 217 on their Class of 2023 Top 300 list. Listed as an athlete (because he plays multiple positions in high school), he ranks 18th in the country in the category. He received an 82 scout grade.
