Retired Denver Bronco says Super Bowl 50 was “Easiest Game”

Back in July, former Denver Bronco defensive-end Derek Wolfe, announced his retirement from the NFL. The retired Bronco played nine years in the league, eight being with the Broncos and one with the Ravens.

Wolfe is best known for being part of Denver’s Super Bowl 50 defense. That defense gave Cam Newton problems all night, which included six sacks and the infamous strip sack fumble late in the fourth.

During his career, the now retired Bronco had the opportunity to play with phenomenal players that feature future first ballot NFL Hall of Famers Von Miller and Demarcus Ware.

In his retirement video package, Wolfe made some pretty interesting remarks. Wolfe repeatedly stated that Super Bowl 50 was the Broncos “easiest game of the season”.

“In my opinion that Super Bowl was the easiest game we played all year, all season”, said Wolfe. “It was the easiest game, because we knew that there was nothing denying that victory for us”.

“After 🔟 seasons in the NFL, I’ve decided it’s time to step away from the game. Time for a new beginning.” #ThankYouDWolfe x @Derek_Wolfe95 pic.twitter.com/qeCyOrKLw7

Wolfe’s comments are honestly laughable, as well as disrespectful.

Carolina had one of the best defenses that year, and led the league in interceptions(24) and sacks(44). And lets not forget they had the league MVP in Cam Newton, who put together one of the best MVP seasons in NFL history.

Wolfe made those shady remarks to spite Carolina fans, or maybe the atmosphere in Denver has finally got to him.

FYI, its hard to believe Carolina was Denver’s easiest game of 2015 when they faced the 3-13 Cleveland Browns.
