Shedeur Sanders’ personal phone number was shared with almost 1,920 people ahead of the 2025 NFL draft by none other than the NFL itself according to ProFootballTalk owner, Mike Florio. Florio explained the NFL sent Sanders’ contact details in an email to the same people who receive the daily transaction report. This means that almost 60 people in every team in the league had Sanders’ personal number accessible.
Mike Florio’s report became important especially when the NFL recently fined Jeff Ulbrich, father of the prank-caller, and the Atlanta Falcons for not protecting confidential information properly. Ulbrich was fined a sum of $100,000, while the Falcons were fined a sum of $250,000.
“The league sent the email to the same group that receives the daily transaction report. That claim is absolutely false.” Mike Florio said about the NFL leaking Sanders’ number to almost 2000 people in a report on Thursday.
Florio went on to explain that it is definitely not fair for the NFL to fine Ulbrich and the Falcons team, since the league itself did not do that great a job at protecting Shedeur Sanders’ private information.
During the draft, Jeff Ulbrich’s son, Jax Ulbrich, called up Shedeur Sanders and pretended to be Mickey Loomis from the New Orleans Saints and lied that the team will pick him next. The prank-caller also recorded the entire thing. Apparently, Jax Ulbrich found Sanders’ number in his father’s unlocked iPad. Both the Ulbrichs have apologized personally to Sanders’ family, who chose to not make a huge deal out of it.

Shedeur Sanders’ Mom Calls Out Critics Who Keep Bashing Her Son’s Character
Shedeur Sanders’ mother, Pilar Sanders, got her mama-bear claws out and hit back at haters who kept insisting that the young quarterback was ‘arrogant’ and ‘brash’ in his pre-draft interviews. The Cleveland quarterback’s mother replied sarcastically on her Instagram.

Pilar Sanders maintained that even after facing brutal performances on the field, her son, Shedeur Sanders, has never been the one to give a bad interview. Despite all the scrutiny and criticism that Sanders has experienced over the last few weeks, the quarterback’s jersey is among the top-selling of all rookie NFL jerseys. This alone seems to prove that the masses are standing with Sanders and expect great things from him in the league.

At the same time, it is still not clear as to whether Shedeur Sanders will end up as starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are facing incredible pressure from fans to play Sanders as QB1, but are also being advised to stick with veteran Joe Flacco for now.
