Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, recently sat down for a conversation with Kay Adams on her ‘Up & Adams’ show and discussed the recent shooting at 345 Park Avenue in New York City. On Monday, a gunman, later identified as Shane D. Tamura, opened fire in a NYC building where the NFL offices are located.

Tamura’s actions killed four people, including a police officer who migrated from Bangladesh. Kraft spoke at length about the shooting, most particularly the police officer, Didarul Islam, whose wife is pregnant. Kraft also remarked that he hopes to make positive changes in society through his ‘Blue Square Foundation’. The foundation was launched by Kraft to originally support the Jewish community, which has faced immense hate for a long time.

“I’ve been looking forward to this for months and to have what we had happen in New York it was so so sad to me and when you look, there’s an officer, Islam, who came from Bangladesh, a good Muslim man who has two kids working in private to do what he’s doing as a policeman. And his wife is pregnant and he gets killed. It just creates a whole seriousness and also the hate that exists in the country. We’re trying to, with our Blue Square Foundation, push back on this and preach love. And of course, what the NFL represents, bringing communities together, people of all backgrounds rooting for their team.” Robert Kraft spoke about his ‘Blue Square Foundation’ with Kay Adams.

Meanwhile, Robert Kraft’s New England Patriots will soon be gearing up for the upcoming regular season. The Patriots did not do well at all in the 2025 season, and the team will be hoping to kick off their upcoming campaign on a positive note as they take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1.

Robert Kraft Reveals Moment When He Knew That Mike Vrabel Will Be His Next Coach

In the same conversation, Robert Kraft also revealed when he exactly knew that Mike Vrabel will be the new head coach of the New England Patriots. Apparently, it was back in 2020 when Vrabel’s Tennessee Titans beat the Patriots, which had superstar Tom Brady, and was coached by Bill Belichick, in the playoffs.

Apparently, Kraft recognized Vrabel’s talents in coaching back then itself, mainly since his team had beaten such a strong one as his own, which also had the legendary Tom Brady in it. While it did take some time, the team has finally brought in Vrabel to lead their team in the  2025 NFL season.
