The New York Giants make a trade
The New York Giants addressed one pass-catching position ahead of Wednesday’s free agency signing period. The team needed to fortify quarterback Daniel Jones after he signed a long-term contract last week. Saquon Barkley will be in New York via the franchise tag in 2023. The Giants will now have a Pro Bowl tight end next fall.
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Giants are sending their 100th overall pick (which they got for trading Kadarius Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs) to the Las Vegas Raiders. They will get tight end Darren Waller in return.
Trade compensation: Giants are sending a third-round pick (No. 100) to Las Vegas for TE Darren Waller, per sources.
