The New York Giants have a linebacker
The New York Giants have handled some major player contracts ahead of the free agency period. The team signed quarterback Daniel Jones to a long-term deal which allowed running back Saquon Barkley to receive the franchise tag. The Giants then needed to find some good value this week in free agency. They found a top linebacker target they can officially ink to a deal on Wednesday.
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Giants have agreed to sign linebacker Bobby Okereke. Okereke was a 2019 third-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts.

Okereke was credited with 151 total tackles, two forced fumbles, and six tackles for loss last season with the Colts. He earned a 73.3 overall grade by Pro Football Focus for his play in 2022. Okereke was the second linebacker signed in the past week by the Giants. The Giants re-signed Jarrad Davis last Wednesday.
