The Las Vegas Raiders keep a key player
The Las Vegas Raiders will have one of their key offensive players for the 2023 season. The Raiders lost their best long-term offensive player, Derek Carr when they released the 2022 Pro Bowl quarterback this offseason. Carr signed a contract with his new team, the New Orleans Saints, on the same day the Raiders applied the franchise tag on their current best playmaker.
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Raiders applied the franchise tag to Josh Jacobs.

The team could not agree for the long term before Tuesday’s franchise tag deadline. The move will cost the Raiders $10.091 million this offseason. Jacobs led the NFL in rushing yards in 2022 with 1,653 running yards. He added 12 touchdowns to his 2022 totals.
The Raiders will now have one of the league’s top running backs; and wide receivers Davante Adams. However, thanks to the Raiders Brass’ shortsightedness, they have some expensive offensive salaries with no quarterback to steer the ship next fall.
