Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has won two head coach of the year awards in the NFL during his tenure as the head coach of this franchise. He has been the head coach of the Browns since the 2020 NFL season.

With Cleveland, he has a 40-44 record, and a 1-2 postseason record as well. During the 2024 season with Cleveland, he had a 3-14 record, and the Browns had the number two overall pick. Some fans wanted him, and general manager Andrew Berry fired after the 2024 season went south. However, will Stefanski be on the hot seat entering the 2025 NFL season or will he be safe no matter what?
Cleveland Browns Insider Reveals That Head Coach Kevin Stefanski Will Not Be On the Hot Seat For the 2025 Season

The biggest issues for the Browns entering the 2025 NFL season is the quarterback battle. Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders, Joe Flacco, and Kenny Pickett are competing for the job while Deshaun Watson is out of the picture completely. Could this quarterback room potentially cost Stefanski his job after the 2025 NFL season?
Well Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com was on 92.3 the FAN in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday morning to potentially discuss the future of the Browns head coach. Cabot said,
“I think you can kind of remove (Stefanski) from the hot seat, for the most part…it’s basically a season of exploration.”
This is interesting news because this probably mean that if the Browns have another bad season, Stefanski and Berry will be safe and have a chance to draft their next franchise quarterback potentially. Some people think that the Browns should start over if they are drafting near the top in 2026. However, getting rid of Stefanski would mean that another NFL team would claim him in two minutes.
