“Can Anyone Blame Him?”: NFL Fans React To Stunning News To Cleveland Browns Myles Garrett Requesting a Trade

The Cleveland Browns finished with a 3-14 record in the 2024 NFL season. The New York Giants and the Tennessee Titans also finished with that record, but Cleveland will have the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

There is a great chance that the Browns will start a rebuild this offseason. The Deshaun Watson trade did not work out well for them over the last few seasons. It appears as if Myles Garrett will potentially be on his way out this offseason.

To no surprise, this was bound to happen eventually, but Myles Garrett has requested a trade from the Browns and the news became official on Monday. He will want to go to a contender in the future.

A few of the teams that he could potentially be traded to are the Kansas City Chiefs, the Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Green Bay Packers, the Buffalo Bills, and the Washington Commanders. Garrett was the AP Defensive Player Of the Year last season with the Cleveland Browns.

In 17 games this past season with the Browns, he recorded 47 tackles, 14 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one pass deflection. He is also a finalist for the AP Defensive Player Of the Year Award again this season.

If the Detroit Lions acquired Myles Garrett in a trade from the Cleveland Browns, they could be the Super Bowl favorites next season. Garrett and Aidan Hutchinson would be a nightmare for the NFL if they are healthy. The trade would be a reasonable location for Myles Garrett because Cleveland to Detroit is just a 2.5-hour drive.
