The Los Angeles Rams will travel back to Detroit to face the Lions in week one of the 2024 NFL Season. That field is where the Rams’ season came to an end just 9 months ago.
Matthew Stafford will of course look to exact revenge against his old team, however, he will be doing so shorthanded.

Another break may have come the way of Detroit’s offense ahead of their Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams. Darious Williams, the Rams’ starting cornerback, has been placed on injured reserve. The injury will keep Williams out for at least the first four games of the season.
It is yet another blow to the Rams, who are also depleted on their offensive line. Alaric Jackson is suspended and Rob Havenstein has been dealing with an injury since training camp, so they will be without both offensive tackles.
In the offseason, Williams signed with Los Angeles after starting all 17 games for Jacksonville a year earlier. In addition to 54 tackles and two forced fumbles last season, he recorded four interceptions. According to Pro Football Focus, he scored 85.3 on coverage last year.
Los Angeles will play Detroit at 8:20pm on Sunday Night Football.
