The Las Vegas Raiders seem to be on the brink of trading away star wide receiver Davante Adams. Numerous reports have indicated that Las Vegas is shopping Adams and multiple teams have shown interest.
However, a new team has entered the mix that could change everything.

Earlier this week, the Raiders announced that wide receiver Davante Adams wanted to be traded. Adams will obviously catch the attention of many teams over the next few weeks. One team who just entered the mix could change everything:
The latest team looking to join the sweepstakes is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have long been looking for a bonified WR1. The same report also claims that the Dallas Cowboys are one team uninterested in a trade.

It makes sense for Dallas to stay out after paying Ceedee Lamb a massive new four-year $136 million deal. It would be too much money in the receiver room to add Adam’s five-year $140 million contract.
For the Steelers, though, it’s the perfect rebound after the team tried so hard to land Brandon Aiyuk from the 49ers before ultimately failing.
A wide receiver’s shelf life usually doesn’t last very long once they reach their thirties. Adams, however, does not fit into that category.
Five of the last six years have been 1,000-yard seasons for him, and he had 14 receiving touchdowns in 2022, which led the NFL.
Rather than just relying on strength and speed, Adams relies on his amazing route running to stay great for years to come.
He should be available for his new team until after the 2026 season when his contract expires.
