The Las Vegas Raiders may be weeks, if not days, away from trading away star wide receiver Davante Adams. Many reports have surfaced recently that both Adams and Las Vegas are open to the idea of a trade.
Even with Adams being 31-years-old (32 in December), he remains one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. His asking price won’t be cheap, but there seems to be one team willing to pay it.
Raiders: NFC Team Announces They’re Willing To Pay Davante Adams Asking Price
According to Darrelle Lincoln of Total Pro Sports:
The details of a possible Davante Adams trade request are starting to materialize.
Adams requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders last week, and it paved the way for teams interested in adding the dynamic receiver to their offensive unit to make a run at him.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Saints have been the most aggressive team in trying to obtain Davante Adams, while ESPN’s Adam Schefter indicated more on the developing market.
Schefter said trade talks should “intensify” next week and also clarified that the market has been tepid. Teams are reluctant to make a firm, outstanding offer for the star over fear of being the one to anchor in the asking price.
Fast-forward to this week, and there are rumors that the Las Vegas Raiders are seeking a second-round pick for WR Davante Adams.
There has been speculation that Davante Adams may be traded from the Raiders to a number of teams, including the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bills of the AFC. However, reports have indicated that he would prefer to rejoin one of his former NFL quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers or Derek Carr.
