After over a week of waiting, there is officially an update on what the 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy plans on doing to heal his Elbow Injury. Purdy got hurt during the first quarter of the NFC Championship Game. The injury occurred during the first quarter of the game. Following the injury, it was revealed the next day that it was a UCL tear. Since then, there have been a number of stories surrounding the injury, but today an official update has been sent out about the 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.
49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy Update
Ian Rapoport confirmed in a tweet that the 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will have surgery to repair his torn UCL. The plan is to head to Dallas to meet with Dr. Keith Meister, who is a doctor for the Rangers. He plans to meet with Dr. Meister on February 21st and have his surgery on the 22nd.

The 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is expected to make a full recovery in time for training camp. This confirms that unless something occurs during the surgy, the quarterback will not be needing Tommy John Surgery as some speculated. This puts the team in a great position to have a quarterback battle between Trey Lance and Brock Purdy, as they both should be healthy.
