After de-committing from Florida State on July 12, quarterback prospect Chris Parson decided to open his options for a fresh start. Exactly one month later, the four-star announced his pledge to Mississippi State. Parson chose the Bulldogs over TCU, SMU, and Virginia Tech.
The QB received an offer from Mike Leach’s program in May. He attended a camp the following month. Once Florida State was out of the picture, the Bulldogs became the favorite landing spot for Parson.
Wide receivers coach Drew Hollingshead led the recruiting process to bring in the quarterback. Eric Mele, running backs coach, assisted Hollingshead.
“It just felt like home. When you know, you know. Whenever I visited the first time in June, I felt super comfortable there. That was my first time visiting a campus outside of Florida State for almost a year.”
