Let’s see who the public is betting on for NFL Week Three. But first, let’s recap Week 2:

    NFL Week 2 Betting Recap

Fading the public was the right idea again as it was another 1-3 week for bets receiving at least 80 percent of the action.

Cincinnati Bengals (Opened +2 Last Wednesday -7.5)

The Bengals did not cover either line. Final Score: Cowboys 20, Bengals 17

    Commanders/Lions Over (Opened 44.5 Last Wednesday 48.5)

This one went well over on both lines! 63 points scored total.

    Panthers/Giants Over (Opened 42.5 Last Wednesday 43.5)

This one missed on both lines. 35 total points scored.

    Viking/Eagles Over (Opened 47.5 Last Wednesday 50.5)

And this one missed big on both lines. Combined 31 points.

Week 2 Public Betting Favorites of 80 percent or more:

Opening Line: 1-3, Wednesday Line: 1-3

Total through 2 weeks: Opening Line 2-6, Wednesday Line 2-6

Joe Burrow and the Bengal are big betting favorites

    Week 3 Public Betting Favorites

Like last week, there’s only one ATS side receiving at least 80 percent of the bets and it’s the same team from last week: Cincinnati Bengals

The public seems to be banking on the Bengals bouncing back after last week’s loss and the Jets coming back down to earth after their huge comeback against the Browns. The line opened Bengals -5 and is currently -6. Cincy has received 89 percent of the bets on this game.

As for Over/Under betting, we only have one total receiving at least 80 percent of the bets as well: Lions/Vikings Over. The totals opened at 50.5 and is currently at 51.5. The Over is receiving 85 percent of the bets for this game. Note: Since Wednesday night, a large number of bets have come in on the Under. The updated number is 58 percent of the bets have come in on the Over. But we’ll still use the Wednesday number for tracking purposes.

    Honorable Mention

The two bets above are the only ones we’ll track, but the Bills/Dolphins Over is receiving 79 percent of the bets. The total opened at 51 and is now at 52.5. And the Ravens are receiving 78 percent of the ATS bets in their matchup with the Patriots. It opened as a pick ’em and is currently Ravens -2.5

Let’s see how the public does this weekend.
