The Pittsburgh Steelers’ elite WR1 has missed the last three games
Steelers’ elite wide receiver George Pickens suffered a grade 2 hamstring strain during practice on Friday, December 6. Pickens did not play in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns. He has not practiced since the 6th and, as a result, missed Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles and Week 16 against the Baltimore Ravens as he continues to rehab and recover from his significant hamstring injury. The Steelers revealed an encouraging injury update
During Sunday’s press conference, head coach Mike Tomlin told the media that George Pickens and other players listed have a chance to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day. As Tomlin points out, their short week of practice and his health will ultimately determine his availability.
“Some guys that didn’t play yesterday who have a real chance this week: Justin Fields, DeShon Elliott, Donte Jackson, George Pickens and Larry Ogunjobi all have an opportunity to play this week,” Tomlin said Sunday. “But again, we’ll see what the week leads us from their inclusion.”
