The Philadelphia Eagles sign a former Bears linebacker
The Philadelphia Eagles let linebacker T.J. Edwards walk in free agency. He promptly signed with the Chicago Bears last week. The Eagles needed to fill Edwards’ void for next season. They did so with the aid of a former Bears linebacker.
According to Jeremy Fowler with ESPN, the Eagles are set to sign Nicholas Morrow. Morrow earned 116 tackles and 11 tackles for loss for the Bears last season.
Linebacker Nicholas Morrow has agreed to a deal with the #Eagles, per source.
Morrow recorded 116 tackles (11 for a loss) in 17 starts with the #Bears last year.

Morrow is an undrafted free agent signed by the Las Vegas Raiders in 2017. He stayed with the Raiders until the Bears signed him last offseason. Morrow has recorded 285 solo tackles, 12 sacks, 145 stops, and three interceptions in his five-year NFL career. He earned a 54.0 overall grade by Pro Football Focus for his play last season.
Morrow will inherit a better defensive situation with the Eagles next season than he had with the Bears last season, as Philadelphia’s defensive line will be better than his 2022 Bears counterparts.
