Carter was one of the most interesting prospects in this draft. After being a bonafide top overall pick, his legal trouble and the subpar pro day had many questioning whether they wanted to spend high draft capital on him. The Eagles are the perfect team for Carter. They do not need him to be the best defensive player on the field. They need him to be an important cog in the machine that is this offense. Jordan Davis is there already and he and Carter make up a scary tandem.
Can Carter Prove Critics Wrong?
Carter will have a golden opportunity to prove people wrong. People are questioning everything about Carter. His love of football, his desire to play the game, and his personal integrity have all been under fire in the media. Now, he can become a dominant force in an already good defense. Carter goes to the perfect spot and has some good mentors on the roster.
The Philadelphia Eagles keep getting richer. Jalen Carter is an absolute steal at number nine overall. The Eagles will need Carter to be dominant if they are looking to win the NFC again.
