Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in the first half of the game against the Washington Commanders suffered a concussion. When he left the game for the Eagles, he completed 1-of-4 passes for 11 yards and he also rushed for 41 yards on three carries.
With Hurts leaving the game then, Kenny Pickett came into the game. This was the first time this season that Pickett was seeing serious game time with the injury to Hurts.
Philadelphia Eagles Fans React To Jalen Hurts Getting a Concussion
Eagles fans were not thrilled when Hurts was injured against the Commanders. This is how Philadelphia fans reacted to the injury news:
That really sucks. Hope he recovers soon.

Too many QB run calls, he was bound to get hurt.

I’m sure Frankie Luvu will get fined for less than Jalen did for wearing 2 different colored cleats. Of course there was no flag either

Refs should’ve ejected Frankie Luvu and should fine him, but they won’t because NFL “Player Safety” is a joke
— Kevin New (@kevinjaynew) December 22, 2024
These refs didn’t even make the call. Aren’t they supposed to be protecting the qbs?

A lot of the Eagles fans are not happy with the refs. It is not a surprise that this is the case. Philadelphia fans were not thrilled also to see Kenny Pickett enter the game against the Washington Commanders.
Dallas Cowboys Next Opponent
It will be interesting to see if Jalen Hurts will be cleared from concussion protocol by the time they face the Dallas Cowboys (6-8) next Sunday. If Hurts was not cleared by then, Pickett will most likely be the starting quarterback for Philadelphia against Dallas.
There is a chance that the Eagles could also sign a quarterback depending on how bad the concussion is for Hurts. This will be a story worth watching later in the week for Philadelphia.
